Longboard Riders Crash on the Street

The pavement can be pretty hard on skateboarders when they have a failed ride. Take a look at how skinned up these guys get when they crash over one another on the street. The rider who does the somersault never loses his sun glasses, but gets a bad case of road burn from the mishap. This video makes a gool point that protective equipment is important for riders who don’t want to leave too much skin on the pavement.

World Record Slalom Skateboarding Run

Here is a video of a skateboarder breaking the world speed record for a slalom run with 100 road cones placed six feet apart. The course time to beat was 25.27 seconds and this rider does it in 21.77 seconds with no cones down. ‘ Obviously, this slalom riders control of the skateboard is outstanding in order for him to weave between the obstacles at a world record speed. 12-Year Old Skateboarder Lands 1080

Tom Scharr is just 12 years old, but he is the only person to have landed a 1080 (three full revolutions in the air) on a skateboard. Tom landed the first 1080 on a Mega Ramp in March 2012, then again at the X Games Asia Competition in April 2012. He has also successfully landed a 900 (2.5 revolutions) in October 2011, making him the 8th person to land it.
